If you plan to use photos for decorations at their first birthday party, at least 3 weeks prior to your planned event! You can expect your photos back 2 weeks after your session and I recommend about 1 week to work out the print logistics. If you need suggestions for local printers I’m happy to help!

I recommend that you provide and bring the cake along! You can order one through a bakery, grocery store or bake your own at home. I’ve found that simple cake designs are perfect for smashing - not too many distractions for your little one. A small, lightly colored cake with soft frosting smashes best.

Yes, and I recommend a few family photos before the cake comes out.

It happens! Those hesitant photos are often the cutest, and a little help from a parent usually gets things going. It can also help to have some good go-to snacks on hand that we can use to encourage them to dig in!
